Stress Reduction/Recreational Testimonials

Dan Lapointe Dan Lapointe lives in St. Charles, Illinois, about 50 miles west of Chicago. He bought his Rowbike 720 Sport in May, and uses it to commute 20 miles a day. Now he's in great shape, and that long commute gives him time to think, laugh, create, feel strong as rhino and even write a rowing poem. More...

Bobby Vandell I have been riding the Rowbike for a while now and I can honestly say it has changed my life. I always enjoyed weight training, and I've tried to combine that with a cardio workout my whole life. The Rowbike is the first piece of equipment I've used that offers both a full-body resistance-training workout with a great cardio workout at the same time. More...

dave rowling In the summer of 2003 decided that I wanted to lose some weight. I started a diet and also started to exercise. A short time later my future son in-law let me try a Rowbike that he borrowed from a friend. I quickly became addicted and purchased one myself.

—Dave Olson

George Fescos recently purchased a Rowbike 720 Sport and likes it so much that he's been doing his part to spread the word about the Rowbike -- talking to friends and sharing his knowledge online.

Since the arrival of his Rowbike, George has built his endurance and shown marked results in his physical stamina. George now rowls and average of 20 miles a day, and doesn't plan on stopping there.

As I was lying on the couch early this afternoon I was thinking to myself, wouldn’t it great if my Rowbike arrived today and I could get going on it today? Not one hour after my lounging began did a ring at the door get me up and get me on my way to a most enjoyable day! Yes, it finally arrived and I love it. I’d love to say I took to it like a duck to water but it did take me 15 minutes to get going pretty well. But once I did, I did not want to get off.

Here we have Wayne and David Fowlkes. These two really know how to keep fit while enjoying the great outdoors. They purchased their bikes and haven't stopped riding them since.  "I put close to ten miles a day on my bike," says Wayne. "The number of demonstrations I give on an average ride is enough of a workout itself. People think it's a cool machine."

—Wayne + David Fowlkes

I am an avid snowboarder, surfer, and now Rowbiker. I do most of my rowbiking off road in Sun Valley and Rowbike has become a major part of my workout. It's a fantastic workout.

I really like the way my Rowbike gives me an upper and lower body workout; it's a rowing machine on wheels and also has the mobility/traveling aspects of a bicycle that the inside house fitness machines don't match. The name says it all: outdoor total body fitness.

—Steve Broude, age 37

The "Power of the Machine." I have tried all types of fitness equipment and exercise regimes. Boring, too much time, too ineffective are the typical results. Not with Rowbike. My Rowbike provides me the most efficient and friendly total body workout ever. I love the feeling after rowing through the neighborhood every morning. Best of all, in a little bit of time you get a highly effective, feel good workout, and you are cruising outdoors in style. Simply the BEST!

—Rob Brook

My Rowbike is some of the best money I ever spent! I ride 10 to 12 miles three or four times a week. The Rowbike delivers an awesome upper body and cardiovascular workout. For me, the Rowbike had three big surprises:

1) It gives me a terrific lower body workout
2) It is so versatile. I use it to get a great full body stretch on the down hills
3) It is so easy to maintain

This is the best, easiest to use piece of equipment yet! Easy on the joints and with this item being so fun you can row to your heart's content and not even be winded or exhausted. But you will definitely feel the effects. It just makes you feel good. You've all been wonderful to work with and very helpful. Thank you for everything and best regards.

I have to say that I am ADDICTED to my Rowbike.  Now I have the whole year covered— rowing in my shell during the season, x-country skiing during snow, and rowling on other times.  I went out yesterday (in 23 degree weather—and I felt warm just like when I go skiing).

Congratulations to Scott Olson for creating a new sport.  I have looked at the rowbike that is available in Europe.  It does not seem like rowing at all—this is much closer to the actual rowing motion.  I love it!  I have all but abandoned my conventional bike.

This now marks the one-year anniversary of my purchase of a Rowbike. The longer I have it and use it the happier I become; it has made an astounding difference in the way I feel, and it is certainly a physical activity that I enjoy immensely.

I can't stress enough how many heads I turn every time I'm on the (sea)wall. I can only hope that you have had more positive feedback out of Vancouver, B.C. and if not, I haven't been rowing enough.

With all that level terrain here in Vancouver, and all of it being public paths, your bike and the next generations of it will for sure find its market here. As an architect I am so pleased with your design of the bike in every detail, that I am in awe thinking of all the design development stages you have gone through. (Very similar to the work of an architect with a very challenging client). I have owned your bike now for a few month and am still fascinated about a couple of design features you have developed.

With all due respect to Michelangelo, who invented a human powered helicopter, of which a replica built by students of UBC University of British Columbia sadly enough crashed without lifting off, I think your design will take the real rowers out of the water onto land. What an achievement.
